Privacy Notice – Parent/Carers

 

At Bramford Pre-School Playgroup we will aim to have protective procedures in place to ensure that all the data we collect from staff, families and committee is kept as safe as possible.

 

What personal data do we collect & how we use it?

 

We collect personal data about you and your child, to provide care and learning that is tailored to meet your child’s individual needs.  We also collect information to verify your eligibility for free childcare as applicable.

 

You may also be required to provide supporting evidence so that we may obtain funding for your child.  This may include a Golden Ticket, 2 year old reference number, a letter proving your economic eligibility or 30 hour reference number. 

 

Your data may also be used to apply for Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP), Disability Access Fund (DAF) and/or Higher Needs Tariff (HNT).

 

Personal details that we collect about your child include:

Your child’s name, date of birth, address, health and medical needs, development needs and any special educational needs.

 

You will also be required to provide a copy of your child’s Birth Certificate, European ID Card, Passport or Valid Red Health Check Book.

 

Where applicable, we will obtain documentation including child protection plans from social care professionals.

 

We will also ask for information about who has parental responsibility for your child and any court orders pertaining to your child.

 

Personal details that we collect about you include:

Your name, home and work address, phone numbers, date of birth, emergency contact details, family details, National Insurance Number or National Asylum Support Service Number.

 

This information will be collected from you directly in the registration forms.

 

Any photographs taken of your child, will be used in accordance with your instructions as indicated on the registration forms.

 

We will endeavour to safely store all data held by us. Records will be secured in locked cabinets/rooms and only the appropriate persons will be granted access.

Any electronic data will be password protected.

The building is also protected by an alarm system and CCTV.

 

 

SAFEGUARDING AND WELFARE REQUIREMENT: INFORMATION AND RECORDS

 

WE MUST MAINTAIN RECORDS AND OBTAIN AND SHARE INFORMATION TO ENSURE THE SAFE AND EFFICIENT MANAGEMENT OF THE SETTING, AND HELP ENSURE THE NEEDS OF ALL CHILDREN ARE MET.
