SHARON THOMPSON
MANAGER
Sharon is married with five children and two grandchildren.

Sharon has been involved with the playgroup for 21 years and is qualified in Early Years Education NVQ Level 4.

Sharon is also qualified in Paediatric First Aid, Food Safety, Safeguarding Children, Signs of Safety, Two’s are Special, Long Term Planning, Letter and Sounds, Equal Opportunities & Diversity, Makaton Sign on, Makaton Signing, Communicating with Parents, EYFS, EYFS In Your Setting, SEAD and accredited Speech and Language.

Sharon is also an accredited SENDCO and our named SENDCO Co-ordinator, qualified in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Speech and Language, Autism Asperger’s Syndrome and Semantic Pragmatic Disorder.

TRACY SIMPSON
DEPUTY MANAGER

Tracy became a member of staff in 2006.
Tracy is married with three children, one of which is Autistic.

Tracy has an NVQ level 3 in Child Care Learning & Development and is qualified in Paediatric First Aid, Food Safety, Safeguarding Children, Letters and Sounds, Two’s are Special, SEAD, EYFS and EYFS In Your Setting and is also our Safety Officer.

PRACTITIONER

Sharon became a member of staff in 2009, after being a committee member for 4 years.

Sharon has an NVQ level 3 in Childcare Learning Development, as well as Sounds and Letters, SEAD, Paediatric First Aid, Safe Guarding Children, Food Safety and EYFS In Your Setting. Sharon has two children. 

RACHEL HODGSON
PRACTITIONER

Rachel joined the playgroup in February 2023 with over 32 years in Early Years care a Diploma in Nursery Nursing.

Rachel is married with grown up children.

KIRA FOWLER

PRACTITIONER

Kira joined us in June 2023 and has a NVQ level 3 in Childcare, Learning and Development. 

Kira is married with two children.

VERONA BANKS
ADMINISTRATOR/PRACTITIONER

Verona first joined the playgroup as a committee member in 2008, first as our social secretary then becoming our registrar. Verona continues her role as registrar, as well as assisting Mrs Thompson with the administrative duties associated with the     playgroup.  Qualified to Level 2 in Children & Young People Workforce, as well as Paediatric First Aid, Food Safety and Safeguarding.  Verona is married with two children.
